This is one of those posts where--due to the profound nature of the words of others--anything I would have to add to the story is a waste of time. So, it's ironic that I think this may just be the most important diary I've ever posted in this community.
(Heh...there are people reading this who would tell you that anything I would have to add to this, or any story, is a waste of time. These are many of the same, misdirected folks that falsely parrot the D.C. propaganda about the so-called profitability of the Wall Street bailout, too.)
Then again, I guess the word, "profound," would inevitably apply to any get-together that includes the likes of: former Delaware Senator Ted Kaufman, who's now the Chairman of the Congressional TARP oversight panel, Simon Johnson, Joseph Stiglitz, Allan Meltzer, William Nelson (Deputy Director of Monetary Affairs, Federal Reserve), and Damon Silvers (AFL-CIO Associate General Counsel), among others.
